Regatta joins Better Cotton Initiative

By sourcing through Better Cotton, the brand “is helping to generate a demand for Better Cotton”, it added.Starting this year, Regatta will source 100% of its cotton through the non-profit organisation, which trains cotton farmers worldwide on more sustainable farming practices. 

Its work includes teaching more efficient water use, care for natural habitats, reduction of harmful chemicals, and respectful rights of workers. And by working with the organisation, “Regatta hopes to encourage more farmers to join and work sustainably”, it added.The Manchester-based brand continues to expand its trading platform, becoming the latest arrival of the ‘Brands at M&S’ platform as the retailer continues to expand its deals with third-party labels.More than 150 clothing and footwear styles are now available to shop on M&S.com across the men’s, women’s, and children’s outdoor and lifestyle ranges.Regatta already has more than 60 retail stores and retail partners across the UK.Its latest collab with Irish designer Orla Kiely also debuted in November, the collection being one of the brand’s fastest-selling product ranges.
